Radar: Liverpool Lift-Off Film Festival 2013

We’re excited about this year’s Liverpool Lift-Off Film Fest. Though FACT (and, previously, Wolstenholme Creative Space) have brought bleeding-edge indie films to the city, this well curated four-day event really packs ‘em in, and all for a wallet-friendly price tag.

They’re bringing movies from far and wide to Liverpool in a programme that spans four different venues: the aforementioned FACT joins METAL at Edge Hill, the Kazimier and House on the schedule. It’s a nice, well positioned mixture of British and foreign (Spain, France, Israel and the US), long-form and short form, and established and newbie directors. We’ve heard of absolutely none of the films on the list, which is actually rather an exciting prospect. Sundance who?
