Pyjama partying: NWCRF fundraiser at Hope Street Hotel

Stephanie Heneghan looks at a 'Girl's Night In' event this Friday, where you can be particularly lazy and get pampered all evening. All in the name of charity.

You know how it is. You finish work on a Friday night, and whilst the idea of going out and seeing friends, having a few drinks and generally shaking off the trauma of the week seems really appealing – you just can’t be bothered with the faff of getting ready. If only it was acceptable to wear your onesie (don’t pretend you don’t have one too) out in public…

Well this Friday it is. Kind of. North West Cancer Research Fund are holding a ‘Girls Night In’ at the lovely Hope Street Hotel, where we’ve been told the dress code is more PJs than LBD and a whole night of indulgent fun is promised – gourmet midnight feasts, classic movies, cocktail demonstrations, beauty treatments, burlesque lessons and a psychic on hand for a spot of fortune telling.

Tickets are £20 with all proceeds going to the North West Cancer Research Fund, and having attended a number of their events (last years Butterfly Ball was a particular highlight) we know they’ll pull out all the stops to entertain.

Now the only decision you’ll have to make is exactly which type of leisurewear to plump for – Minnie Mouse all-in-one or plaid pyjama pants?
